  • The number one severe defect of the Prius is the lack of filters to suppress AM radio interference. FM radio and cell phones are not affected. The Prius may be a cleaner car for the atmosphere, but it is a waste dump for AM radio interference. AM broadcast cannot be received reliably.  I hate that it trashes most scanner radios and Ham Radio too. This is a serious defect to me and would prevent me from buying another Prius. Very sloppy engineering Toyota. I also checked the Federal Communication Commission rules on automotive interference and as suspected the powerful automobile lobby excluded itself from the rules that would protect consumers from automotive radiating devices. They can freely interfere with susceptable pacemakers, medical pagers and emergency radio reception without regard for the consumers safety. I guess it is up to you not to get too close to a Prius with anything other than a cell phone and an FM radio.

  • I hate that the Prius does not have an EV mode and has to always start it's gasoline engine after seven seconds only in North America.

  • I hate that the Prius is not plug in with a higher capacity battery. I hate that the Prius is not a multi fueler. It should run on a variety of fuels. Very short sighted Toyota. No new Prius for me unless it runs on a variety of fuels and at least one hundred miles on electricity.

  • The Prius is a water cooled beast. Be forwarned at 100,000 miles two water pumps will fail and cost you almost a thousand dollars. Good for Toyota but bad for the Prius owner.

  • I hate that your high intensity head lights have a problem at 100,000 miles. The tilt sensor rusts out. $600 dollars to fix the sensor is a joke...isn't it?
